So you've seen Flash sites where the quality of the audio loops on it is perfect (no loss at all). How do they do this? First off, you need to be ABSOLUTELY sure that you have the sound you want optimized selected in the Library Window. Now, with the sound selected, do a right-click and select Properties. In the Sound Properties window that appears, you need to do the following - In the Compression drop-down list, select ADPCM
- Sample rate should be 44kHz
- The number of ADPCM bits can be set to anywhere between 3 and 5. If you go lower, the sound quality will be bad
The benefits of doing this are HUGE. First off, the exported SWF's file size will be small compared to what it would be if the sound compression was set to MP3/160 kbps
